Girls Summer Skills Training
Welcome to the girl's summer training program from MCE! This summer-long program is designed to introduce, refine and perfect each player's skill set while improving strength and conditioning.
Who is this best suited for? This program is for girls entering grades 4-9 in the fall of 2026. Players who have enjoyed the program are those looking for a vigorous workout that pushes every player to be their best. There is very little down time and instructors do a fantastic job of providing just the right amount of intensity for each drill.
What is the format? Clinic is from 6-7pm. Players will be divided into two groups based on grade and skill level. The entire group will work together on ball handling drills for the first 10-15 minutes. Then each group will go to their assigned coach to work on various skills and drills. After 20 minutes, groups will take a quick hydration break and then go to the next instructor. When that session is finished, the groups will play some half-court basketball to incorporate the skills they just worked on.
After the skills session, girls entering grades 5-9 can add strength/conditioning sessions to their workout. From 7:10-8pm, girls will hit the fitness center and work on their cardio, strength, speed and agility. This session is also offered without the on-court workout.
How does registration work? This is a drop-in program that requires RSVP. Players can sign up for as many weeks as they want or just do one. We cap each Wednesday at 16 players. Payment (Cash or Venmo only) must be made prior to the start of each session.
